この規格は、当社の自動車部品の鉄素地上に，主として軽度の防食及び外観向上の目的で施す黒色酸化 皮膜(1)（以下，皮膜という。）の仕様について規定する。

注(1) ３．に示す品質を満足すれば，アルカリ処理（黒染め），水蒸気処理（テンパーカラー）など，ど の四三酸化鉄皮膜の処理を採用してもよい。

This standard covers the specification of black oxide coatings (hereinafter called coating) to be applied on base iron of automotive parts of Isuzu Motors mainly for securing a light extent of corrosion resistance and an improved appearance.

Note : If the requirements shown in Clause 3 can be satisfied, any treatment of black oxide coatings including alkaline treatment (blackening), steam treatment (temper coloring) may be used.
